- Cleaning the house - like Spring Cleaning (before Caleb gets out of school).
- Gardening – tomatoes, green beans, green peppers, lettuce, GIANT pumpkins.
- Fishing – Caleb said he’d teach me how to take my own fish off the hook. Baiting the hook doesn’t bother me so much, although David does it for me when he’s around.
- Ska-nooing (it’s a type of canoe that can have a small motor attached to the back.) It’s been in our garage for a few years, and Caleb and I are going to learn how to use it this summer paddling around our cove! And if paddling doesn’t go well, maybe we can put the trolling motor on it!! HAHA
- Swimming – Caleb can swim, I can relax!!
- Skiing……. Maybe David will let me get the skis on this summer…. Maybe my back will cooperate a little….. !!
- Bikeriding – I could use some good exercise!
- Movies – I’ve got a list already made up for rainy days!
- Me learning to like all of the critters that Caleb is bound to drag in from the woods!
- Church Camp (Caleb doesn’t believe that I can handle a week of camp. He thinks I’m too old! I’ll show him!)
- VBS – we’re hosting the missionary family who will be here for VBS this year. I can’t wait. Last time they were with us, they had 3 kids. Now they have 5 ….. or is it 6? It’ll be crazy-fun!
- Spending time with my family…….. Caleb is very excited to have me home this summer, Nathan and Ruth are making some plans that will have Nathan off on his own big adventure soon enough, and David is worried that I'll never want to go back to work!!
For now, I’m fortunate to have this summer to enjoy the family!
